Brushes explores assemblages of everyday objects in our homes. The joining together of very disparate objects can have surprising results. In this manual we will be rethinking the bulldog clip, once a mainstay in office supplies transformed into handy brushes to have at home. Whether it is cleaning crumbs out from between the keys on your keyboard or making that brush for your next still life painting, this manual will give you some inspiration.

This manual is created by Liang-Jung Chen; a Taiwanese industrial designer and researcher based in London. She co-founded The Misused⁠ project in 2018, a global study on hardware culture. Each year, the project observes hardware in a different country, repurposing them into new products.
