London 2013: Noah’s Ark
This two-week programme explored the concept of ‘Noah’s Ark’ as a site of refuge and as a vessel for the containment and transportation of ideas, transferring them across continents and generations. This was developed through a combination of knowledge drawn from performance, design and architecture. During the first week students participated in a series of one-day workshops, each led by a different practitioner. These short projects introduced a range of techniques for designing and making, thereby developing and generating the individual components of the summer school and building the foundations for the second week.
