One day workshop – King Edward VI School
Anti Discipline is an educational workshop using Dada techniques to deconstruct boundaries in order to generate new ideas and narratives through making. The workshop consisted of four exercises across the day based around the surrealist game ‘exquisite corpse’ after initially working in 2D the students moved to 3D working with found objects and capa bio-plastic. Through the day the students were encouraged to look at skills that could be applied to a range of creative fields from architecture to fashion. Presentation, documentation and criticism were a big part of this workshop giving the students a flavour of creative education and practice at University level and beyond with the intention of developing clarity and confidence in presenting their work and ideas.
