Skinners’ Academy workshop
The Skinners’ Academy workshop set out to design and build a seating area with a concrete module trellis structure encompassing it.
This workshop explored concrete casting and silicone mould making to develop a series of interconnecting nodes that can be built up into a climbing wall for plants. Students spent the morning exploring possible designs for the nodes before making moulds to cast from. Having cast the nodes and allowed sufficient time for curing we propose to revisit and spend half a day with the students to construct the architecture.
