Workshop – Mossbourne Community Academy

This workshop explored fabric formwork as a way to cast concrete.

Students spent the morning understanding the principals of concrete casting using fabric. Including how fabric stretches and holds concrete, how the formwork is made, and the chemical processes taking place during curing.

In the afternoon the students used this knowledge to create a sculptural concrete totem that will stand in the school gardens.
