Workshop – Skinners’ Academy
Students designed and constructed a large self supporting structure out of modular aluminium box section and aluminium tape as a joining device. Students spent the morning developing scaled models individually to understand basic structural principles and design proportions before consolidating their findings to construct a full-scale installation in the afternoon. This workshop aimed to introduce structural principles in a hands-on manner and explore the aesthetics of intuitive making.
